Relocation and Cultural Awareness
Research has shown that the inability to adapt to the host culture is among the most cited reasons for relocation failure. Our culture courses are designed to minimize the risk of relocation failure by properly equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills that will not only help them adjust to their new lives abroad, but also create an atmosphere of mutual respect, understanding and trust with their international clients.
The Course can be done in Dutch or English
“Understanding the Dutch” Culture Course
This course is designed to:
• explain the underlying cultural values that drive the Dutch.
• introduce Dutch habits and behavior.
• develop effective communication skills with the Dutch.
• provide guidance on maximizing the potential of a multicultural team.
Additional Culture Courses
ACT designs various culture courses that provide clients with:
• a basic understanding of the culture, values, and norms of the country they are traveling to, and the possible impact on work and social life.
• knowledge of the etiquette or protocol associated with meeting and greeting, dining, gift giving, exchanging business cards, arranging meetings and conducting negotiations.
• coaching on skills such as communication, time management, assertiveness and conflict resolution.
