This course is: - The only course required for Novell’s CNA certification - The first course requirement for Novell’s CNE certification This course is designed to enable entry-level networking professionals to perform common administrative tasks using NetWare 6.5. Students will install NetWare 6.5 and perform tasks often required of employees who provide “front line” support for a NetWare 6.5 installation and/or serve as an entry-level administrator of a small to medium-sized network. This course will introduce a student to the high availability solutions provided by NetWare 6.5 that make it a stable and powerful kernel/OS fordeployment in an enterprise environment. In addition, attendees must be familiar with network hardware and have a conceptualknowledge of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, topologies, and various protocols. This course is the introductory course for the NetWare Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) curriculum. This course is therefore ideal for Novell customers who have no experience, or up to one year of entry-level network administration experience, have completed the study and/or certification requirements for this course, have intentions to achieve Novell’s Certified Novell Administrator certification. Attendees will: - Install NetWare 6.5 and Novell Client - Set up and manage user objects in Novell’s eDirectory - Manage storage and file services - Implement file and eDirectory rights - Manage print services - Set up the Virtual Office in NetWare 6.5 - Manage and remotely manage the NetWare 6.5 server
