This course gives the Web services developer the knowledge and hands-on skill to implement security in Web services applications. You will learn how and when to use XML Encryption and XML Digital Signatures within the context of the OASIS standard SOAP Message Security. The course covers a number of important, supporting technologies from the basics of Rapid Fire Cryptography, Hash Functions, Symmetric and Asymmetric Ciphers, Digital Signatures and Digital Certificates and XML Exclusive Canonicalization, advanced namespaces in XML.Through the presentation of reference architecture for implementing security in Service Oriented Architectures, this course provides a solid framework for evaluating new trends in this space and helps you to determine when and where XML and Web Service Security are good choices for your project or company.
